Dear KAVOD SHEF, Seed The Dream Foundation and your funding partners,
Please accept our most sincere hakarat hatov, most sincere thanks, praise and appreciation, to those who have made our work with Holocaust survivors possible. We feel compelled to share how this grant has been life-changing for our clients. Our KAVOD SHEF and Seed The Dream Foundation grant has literally put eye glasses on eyes so people can see, hearing aides in ears so people can hear, shoes on feet so people can walk, food in mouths so people did not go hungry … I could go on and on … the dignity and compassion and pride with which we are able to operate is the greatest gift of all. We are able to provide our Holocaust survivors with sensitive, responsive, trauma-informed quality care in their most critical moments of need, something which enables them to feel loved, cared for and, most importantly, respected.
Before this grant, we could barely offer any support other than words of hope; now at this present time, we can actually offer tangible help in the precise moment of need in ways which are life affirming and enriching. Today, our clients know that we are there for them and that they do not need to worry or fear for tomorrow. Today, we are right there by their side giving them the help they need most. It’s more than money at this point – we have built a community through this grant and created family where, for some, there has never been before.
We are truly in awe of your generosity and have the most profound gratitude for what you have enabled our agency to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
With deepest gratitude,
